The BIG countdown to the Broken Hand EP begins here…

That’s right people. In just 12 days we release 4 awesome tracks recorded earlier this year with hot shot producer Sean(dog) Genockey at Voltaire Studios, London, United Kingdom, Europe, the UN, the Earth, the solar system, the milky way, the universe.

So we hit up the critics to hear what they think & got a few opinions in, check it out:

“Yorkshire quartet Frenetics generate a muscular racket that has one foot in late 70s punk and the other in the pre-Britpop glam of Suede…If you’ve found the hyped indie-rock of Tribes a bit too laddish then Frenetics offer a much more appetizing version.” Sounds
XP

“as delicate as a tank flattening your neighbour’s house while you’re trying to get some shut-eye and amps clearly turned up to the maximum – it’s a brash, in-your-face punk rock assault - 7/10” Exposed
Magazine

“Broken Hand is flawlessly abrasive in delivery showcasing a number of infectious indie anthems to get you going this summer; this is definitely an EP that deserves a spot on your shelf.” Steal City

“Most brittle post punk bands forget the catchiness factor - Frenetics don’t.” ArtRocker (shock of the new feature)

Cue numerous smiling faces at Frenetics HQ! We wanna say ta very much to these guys and any others out there who have written or are writing, especially local heroes in Sheffield and Leeds (or trying to guess where that is from afar).

THE BROKEN HAND EP will be available on Spotify, Amazon and all the usual places on June 11. Until then, you can listen to it here! Exclusive and completely free.http://soundcloud.com/frenetics/sets/ep-promo/s-fmAIP

It contains 4 brand new tracks from us entitled Ella, Satellites, See You On The Other Side & Swing Kids. We reckon it’s EPIC. The artwork pictured is bass player Jacko’s broken hand!

Available soon with other merchandise.

Lots of love from FRENETICS xxx

Frenetics play 360 Club @ The Library, Leeds - Tomorrow

Just a quick message to say that we’re dead excited about playing at 360 club at the library in Leeds tomorrow night (19th May)!

For the Facebook event: Click Here!

Joining us on stage will be Tender Hooligans, Plastic Rabbits and Videowax

The night starts at 8pm. What’s unique about 360 club though is that noone knows the order in which the bands are going to play! so we could be on first right up until the end - so if you wanna catch you’ll have to come at the start of the night! Not so bad when you think that you get to catch three other bands besides us though eh?!

PS - you can catch us talking further about this gig on our interview on BBC Radio Leeds Introducing show with Alan Raw which we did last week - we’ve bounced it off iPlayer and you can hear it here

Frenetics have a serious TV-addiction right now. We have only recently discovered this show despite it starting in 2007. Arguments are ensuing about giving bits of the later series away as we’re all at different points! GO CALIFORNICATION

This is a man we all wish we could be. We just don’t have Stiffler-sized MANBALLS or no sense of social decency. Such a shame…
